• Weekly Activity Schedule set every Sunday for the entire week based on the weather and ages of kids with us at the time - all optional to attend: Activities are usually arranged for 5 days a week, including field trips, boat trips, kayaking, walks, adventures, beach days, water parks, play dates at various locations, painting arts and crafts workshops for all ages - even adults, earthen building workshops, zip lining, free plays at our condominium any time of the day in between and more.

• Babysitting and Kids Club Options - upon request

• Do you need someone to look after your child while you enjoy some time to yourself or focus on work? With my supervision, my two daughters (ages 10 and almost 14) are happy to help! Contribution: €10 per hour for babysitting. 

• Babysitting for small children can be provided in our or your home, during the day or evenings.

• Kids club: For children from age 8+, exception can be made for a child which is happy to stay without parents and fits into the group of bigger children. Kids club will be organized upon request - contribution €20 per day. Siblings discount available.

This condominium is nestled in a serene and upscale neighborhood, offering a perfect blend of tranquility, safety and convenience. You'll find everything you need within easy reach. A local supermarket is right at the edge of the property, and just across the road, there's a 5-star hotel with a bar and restaurant for your dining pleasure. A variety of charming local restaurants and cafes are just a 10-minute stroll away.

For leisure, the beach and a pristine golf course are only a 5-minute walk from the condominium. If you're looking to explore nearby towns, Albufeira is a quick 12-minute Uber-Taxi ride, and Armacao da Pera is just 10 minutes away by car. Additionally, a large shopping mall, where you'll find a wide range of stores and amenities, is also 12 minutes by car. This prime location ensures that you're never far from the best the area has to offer.

handle your pre-booking and add you to our private chat group where we organize our meetups and activities.

for each rental, which helps to support and run our hub.

Thanks to this setup, our hub and all our meetups, trips and playdates remain free of extra charges

unless we pay an entrance fee somewhere.

HOW DID THIS IDEA CAME TO LIFE?

​

I’m a mum of two girls, aged 10 and 13, whom I homeschool through a worldschooling approach. Our journey has taken us across Portugal, including several winters spent in the Algarve. While we’ve loved the adventure, it hasn’t always been easy to find like-minded families and friends for our girls. At times, we felt isolated and longed for deeper connections with others who share our homeschooling lifestyle.

Three years ago, everything changed when we discovered Salgados in the south of the Algarve. We fell in love with this beautiful area and have since returned to the same apartment every winter, making it our home away from home. 

​

Last year, everything changed even more profoundly. We were introduced to a wonderful group of homeschooling families in the Algarve who meet regularly. We finally found our tribe. Our girls now have friends they look forward to seeing each week, and I enjoy meaningful conversations with other parents. Since that time, we no longer feel lonely. Every moment here is richer and more joyful because it’s shared with friends.

One of the most rewarding aspects of our time in Salgados has been connecting with this vibrant community of homeschooling families. Through regular meetups and playdates, we’ve formed lasting friendships that have truly enriched our lives—not just for our girls, but for us as parents as well.

​

Seeing so many families on Facebook searching for similar connections inspired me to create a seasonal November - end of May homeschooling hub-experience here in Salgados.

We hope it becomes a space where families can connect, bond, exchange information, stories, ideas, and make memories together.

​

The idea is simple: live in private apartments within the same condominium 500 meters from an amazing beaches, where our children can safely play together, and adults can easily connect in the gardens by the pools.
