HOW DID THIS IDEA CAME TO LIFE?

We are a homeschooling - worldschooling family with two daughters, aged 9 and 13.

Three years ago, we discovered Salgados and instantly fell in love. Since then, we've returned to the same apartment every winter, making this beautiful condominium our home away from home. It's a place our family and friends adore whenever they visit.

​

One of the best parts of our time here has been connecting with an incredible community of like-minded homeschooling families. We have regular meetups and playdates that have truly enriched our experience of living abroad - not just for our children, but for us as parents, too.

 

Seeing so many families on Facebook looking for similar connections inspired us to create a seasonal homeschooling experience here in Salgados.

​

The idea is simple: live in private apartments within the same condominium 500 meters from an amazing beach, where our children can safely play together, and adults can easily connect in the gardens for a cup of coffee.

 

There are no mandatory programs - Homeschooling meetups 2x week with other families in Algarve, playdates in our condo and on the beach -free of charge and optional. Different classes, clubs, and workshops - all optional for you to choose from if you desire but paid separately.

Once you will choose and book your apartment with us, you will be able to join our private Facebook group to stay updated on available activities and connect directly with other families staying in Salgados at the same time.  

​

To make this easier, I’ve contacted the manager overseeing some of the apartments in Salgados, and we now have a few available for families to choose from for a very reasonable price. This community has made a world of difference for us, and we hope it can do the same for you.
